One Year Later...

It's been a year since my last posting...and WOW, so much has happened! Zachary is four years old and little baby Wyatt is going to be one years old on Tuesday! Time just runs away from you in a blink of an eye and your kids are growing up soo fast.

Zachary is in a Pre-3 preschool at St. Cecilia, and couldn't be happier or more blessed to know that we have made such a wonderful choice in his school because he is thriving. He continues to play year round basketball and LOVES it.

Wyatt, what we like to call him Bubba Chunk is growing like a weed. He LOVES to eat and play all day long. He started walking last month, but still prefers to chase Zachary on all fours. His smiling face lights up our days and fills us with such joy.

As for Adam and I, we are keeping busy. Adam is finishing up his last semester of law school and will graduate the end of May. He is still playing basketball, not as often as he would like. He took a job with Nike as a hoop researcher at nights once or twice a month just to receive the benefits of being allowed into the employee store. I am pregnant with our third child. We find out what we are having on Thursday! Baby is due in early September.

For the past year, we have been attending St. Cecilia church where our son, Zachary attends preschool. We feel in love with the church just like we did the school. We feel HIS presence every time we walk through the school hallways our into the church. We have been blessed with such a wonderful community of people and friends that have welcomed us with open arms. We couldn't feel more blessed. This weekend, Adam will be baptized and confirmed into the church and I will be confirmed. Two weeks later, Zachary and Wyatt will be baptized.

Pictures below are of a recent trip we took to Hood Canal, WA over Adam and Zachary's spring break. It was a wonderful relaxing vacation that was nice to just spend with out little family.

We enjoyed running through the creek, falling in the creek, and getting up and doing it all over AGAIN!

We enjoyed playing in the sand and building sand castles,

then destroying what we had built!

We enjoyed watching all the sail boats come in, we LOVED running on the dock, and swimming in the pool til it was time to close. We enjoyed exploring all the beautiful grounds that Hood Canal had to offer.

We loved watching Wyatt learn how to walk, eat sand for the first time, discover sea shells, and eat LOTS of yummy yummy food all day long.

We enjoyed our long walks on the beach, staying up late watching movies, and sleeping in on very comfy beds. Most of all we LOVED just being with our little family!

Blessed

These are two of my favorite pictures that Jenni, our photographer took during our newborn session with Wyatt. I just love them and Adam and I are so blessed to have such a healthy beautiful boy.

Wyatt One Month

Wyatt was a month old yesterday. I still have a hard time believing how fast it can all go by.
I feel like it was just yesterday that we were bringing Zachary home and now he is a fast energetic three year old.
Now our second son is already a month old and growing like a weed.
He is such a good natured boy and loves his older brother.
We have really been enjoying him and love the fact that we have a strong healthy boy.
I can't believe we have TWO BOYS!

More Wyatt

Being a Mom...

Being a mom means:
-Every day you will smile...even if you feel like crying.
-During certain circumstances, you can feel every human emotion in the matter of a single hour.
-A part of your heart will always be right there for the whole world to see.
-Sometimes only you will be able to tell what your toddler is saying.
-Your baby will only want you and no one else at least once a day.
-You will load up your car and drive to McDonald's because your 3 year old wants an ice cream cone and you know that she will eat the whole thing so you're OK with it.
-You will crave kissing soft baby skin and smelling sweet baby hair always.
-You will worry about the teenage years.
-You will wipe the slides at the park with your sleeve so that your kids will have dry bums after going down them.
-You will always have a job.
-"I love you, mommy!" will sound good any time of day...even at 3am.
-Your family will always be your first priority.
-Nights out with just your husband will always be fun, but Saturday mornings with the whole family together will always be the best!
-You may be scatterbrained at times, but when it comes down to the logistics of things you're spot-on.
-Sometimes you're the one that needs the time out.
-Your baby boy will steal your breath away with how handsome he is!
-Sometimes you just need a nap, too.
-Diet coke will be your friend if you can't take a nap!
-You will learn something new every day.
-You will fore-go a shower just to watch an early morning episode of Sesame Street while eating dry Cheerios from a cup for breakfast.
-Someone will always need something the minute you sit down to eat a meal.
-You will sometimes laugh and cry at the exact same time.
-Cleaning toilets can always be done tomorrow.
-The food on your plate will always look better to your kids than the food on their plate...even if it's the same food.
-The sound of your baby's laughter will always be music to your ears.
-You will thank God daily for the blessings that are your children.
-Your love will grow deeper every single day until, sometimes, you feel as though your heart may burst!
-You will thank your own mom for all she taught you! (And you'll call her frequently for even more advice!)

All Boy

I just love my big boy! Although, I do wish I had his energy! He is always on the go and never stops to walk, he is always running wherever he's going. The last couple days it has been sunny and beautiful, so on my walks with the boys I have been stopping at the park to let Zachary run around and exert more of his energy. He amazes me with all his activities that he has going on everyday that he never tires out!

More Wyatt...

On Monday April 26th, Wyatt was a week old and we had Jenni come over to the house and shoot his newborn pictures. Jenni did our fall family pictures this year and we loved them so much that we had her again for Wyatt's pictures and some more family pictures. Below our a couple of the pictures that she placed on her blog. We will get to see the rest in a couple weeks and can't wait!
