Clay Bennett Ruined my Childhood

Here are some pictures that I got with my camera from the game last night. We all had such a good time at the game last night. It was good to see all the former Seattle Sonics players, even if they were in the wrong colors. We had the best seats. Matt used his connections at the Blazers to get us seats eight rows up from the court! I never thought one poster and one little boy would be making headlines nationwide...

Sonics Fans Blaze a Trail South for Thunder

Tonight, my brother scored Zachary and I tickets to the Trailblazers vs. OKC Thunder. We of course went in protest for Seattle losing their basketball team. Our protest made news channels and websites everywhere! Here are some of the pictures from various websites. You can find full articles on the Seattle Times, Seattle PI, NBC Sports, KOMO News, and Yahoo Sports, ESPN, Sports Illustrated and many more! To see all the articles all you need to do is google "Zach Rankin" to finad all the articles. My boy is FAMOUS!! It was so much fun and we all had a blast!

"My life, I wouldn't be satisfied if I missed this game," Heuer said. "This is something I had to be at and see."

But other Sonics fans weren’t fooling themselves. Just ask Matt Heuer, a former Sonics employee who now works for the Seattle Storm. Heuer carried 2-year-old nephew Zach Rankin in one hand and a sign that read “Clay Bennett ruined my childhood” in the other.

Congrats to former Sonic employee Matt Heuer and his two-year-old nephew Zach Rankin for cracking the sports section of virtually every major media website in the country today.

Heuer said the sign was for his nephew to hold. But he ended up with the job for part of the evening.

Blazers WIN

Zachary's borthday party included a party package at the Trailblazers game vs. New York Knicks. We cou;dn't have asked for a better game, the blazers won by a point with seconds left in the game. Zachary even had a special birthday announcement on the big screen and a visit from Blaze! Although, he was a little nervous seeing him! It was a great game and a great day had by all!

Chuck E Cheese's

We took Zachary to Chuck E Cheese's today on his actual birthday with his friend Reece. It was his first time being there, the two of them really enjoyed playing and eating their pizza! But, they were a little scared of the big mouse!

Zachary's Basketball Birthday Party

Zachary had a basketball birthday party on Sunday followed by a Trailblazers basketball game! He had a lot of fun at his party, especially since it was a basketball birthday party!

Being the center of attention is exhausting...I'll just take a quick nap
Look at my new Air Jordan track jacket, isn't it cool!
Happy 2nd Birthday Zachary! Make a wish...
Time to open presents...what's in the box?

Portland Basketball

Adam joined the Portland basketball league and has games on Saturdays and Sundays. It is so much fun to see him playing ball again. He did very well in his first game, for not playing in a competitve setting in a couple years. I have always loved watching him play, it brings me back to when we met and I would go to all of his basketball games!

Family Swim Fun

We took Zachary to open swim the other night. Adam skipped school for the night to have some family fun! He loves the water and loves going down the slide!
