My family has been participating in Spokane Hoopfest know for years, but for the past six years Adam and my brother have competed on a team together. Spokane Hoopfest is the largest three on three basketball tournament in the world, with over sixty-five hundred teams.
It has taken many attempts to find the right players to compete at such a high level and do well in this tournament. In years past Adam and Matt's teams have not done so well. This year they did very well. Team Blue Chips included Adam, my brother Matt, Josh Goff, and Dan Nelson. Josh is a really good friend of Adam's from high school, and Dan is my brother's friend. Boise State basketball fans would know Dan's younger brother as Matt Nelson.
Team Blue Chips took second in the tournament losing in the championship game.
The Matthews have been competing in Hoopfest in the family league for the last couple years and it has been so exciting to see them improve every year, I have so much fun watching them. This year though especially fun to see Adam's team do so well. It is a jam packed weekend of basketball and I love it!
